Overview A triumphant return to Samueli Following two sold-out shows in the Samueli Theater last season, vocalist Caity Gyorgy returns to Segerstrom Center, this time with a new evening-length project created in collaboration with ETHEL string quartet. Together they bring warmth, clarity, and modern sensibility to the American Songbook. Known for her impeccable phrasing and playful approach to classic repertoire, Gyorgy bridges eras with ease—honoring the great jazz singers while crafting a sound distinctly her own. Her return engagement highlights the “Now” of the season: artists who keep jazz vibrant through personality, storytelling, and craft. Intimate and inviting, this performance celebrates jazz as a shared experience—one rooted in connection and joy.
