Batty Bio Blitz

Bats are often misunderstood because of their association with Halloween and all things spooky - from their leathery wings to their cave-like habitats. But these fascinating animals are far more than a symbol of the spooky season. Bats play an important role in our ecosystems and provide valuable benefits to the natural world. Come visit our Batty Bio Blitz display at the Visitor Center to discover more about bat ecology, their unique adaptations, the important roles they play in our ecosystems, and how we can help conserve and protect these remarkable animals. Registration is not required. For more information or questions, please email andra-claire.greene@ncparks.gov.
