An Evening on the Lake

Join a Lake James State Park Ranger for a boat tour on beautiful Lake James! Participants will enjoy approximately two hours on the water while exploring key landmarks around the park, and learning about its fascinating history and natural resources. As we cruise along the shoreline, we will keep our eyes open for wildlife, waterfowl, and Bald Eagles. This will be an opportunity to experience Lake James State Park from a different perspective with a focus on the Catawba River and Paddy's Creek areas of the lake. Meeting Location: Lake James State Park Catawba River Access-In the Breezeway Duration: Approximately 2 hours 3:30PM-5:30PM Please Bring: Personal floatation device(we can provide basic PFDs if needed), water, sunglasses, and a jacket. Things to know: Participants may bring cameras or other items they feel will make them comfortable but please pack light as space will be limited on the boat. Everybody must register prior to the event to have a spot on the boat. Registration is only for the name listed, children or spouses have to register separately. Space is limited to 6 people. If you cannot make it please call us so we can open the spot for another person.
