Monster Press Monster Dumbbell Press for Reps Overhead pressing giant dumbbells like a true monster! Bells of varying weight—your choice. How many can you lift before the whistle blows? The athlete will have 60 seconds to complete as many dumbbell clean and press reps as possible.Several monster dumbbells will be available to choose from. The heavier dumbbell trumps all reps on lighter (there is no benefit to having reps on both lighter dumbbell and heavier dumbbell). It is a clean and press event, meaning the dumbbell must make contact with the ground between each rep.A down command must be given within the 60-second time limit for rep to be awarded. Both hands can be used to get the dumbbell positioned on the shoulder. Only one hand is allowed on the dumbbell once the dumbbell leaves contact with the shoulder for the press.Arm must be sufficiently locked out with the dumbbell overhead, feet parallel, and a sufficient level of body stability present (all at the judge’s discretion) to have a down call given and a rep to be awarded.Equipment allowed: soft briefs, chalk, sleeves, grip shirts, wrist wraps, beltsEquipment not allowed: no sticky substances2. Raise the Deadlift Deadlift for Reps Two bars to choose from! It’s man versus man, woman vs woman, and pulls of raw power. The athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many axle deadlift reps as possible. Each athlete will have two bars, one bar being heavier. One point per rep will be given for the event.Athletes can choose which weight to pull, however any reps on the heavier bar trumps all reps on the lighter bar (there is no benefit to having reps on both lighter bar and heavier bar).A down command must be given within the 60-second time limit for the rep to be awarded. No touch-and-go reps allowed. Athletes may or may not be given one warning depending on how egregious.Conventional stance only.Hitching is allowed.Equipment allowed: soft briefs, lifting straps, chalk, sleeves, belts, baby powder.Equipment not allowed: no suits, no hard briefs.3. Hide the Body Load, Carry, and Sled-Drag Medley It’s a rush to load the sandbag over a bar, carry to a sled, and drag it back to the finish line before time expires! Each athlete will load a sandbag over a 48" bar. Then the athlete will carry the sandbag 50' and load it onto a sled. To finish the medley, the sled must be reverse pulled-back 50' across the finish line.If the athlete fails to load the sandbag at the start, a zero will be given for the event.A distance measurement will be taken for the bag or sled or a total time will be recorded if the course is completed.Front of sled implement must pass the finish line for time to stop. This event has a 60-second time cap.Equipment allowed: soft briefs, chalk, sleeves, belts.Equipment not allowed: no sticky substances.4. Body Count Sandbag to Shoulder Ladder The ultimate test of practical strength—three heavy bags will be heaved up and onto the shoulder. Athletes will have 60 seconds to pickup and shoulder three sandbags for time.Bags will be in a row and standing on the end (tall).Event will be scored by one rep per bag and then quickest time.Bags must be shouldered lightest to heaviest.Once sandbag is positioned on the shoulder, one hand must be off the bag to receive the down command. If majority of the bag is supported on the chest, no rep will be given.Athlete must show stability and control of the bag with a hand off and feet parallel to receive a rep.Down command must be given before time expiration for last rep to count.Equipment allowed: grip shirts, belts without sharp buckles (or worn backwards), sleeves.Equipment not allowed: no sticky substances.5. Trick-or-Toss Keg Toss Game Watch the kegs fly! Athletes toss weighted kegs over a bar into distance point zones. Every foot further brings bigger cheers! Height of keg toss will be 10’.There will be three zones that are 10-feet deep each. Zone 1 is worth 1 point, Zone 2 is worth 2 points, Zone 3 is worth 3 points. Any part of the keg crossing into the next zone scores points for the more valuable zone.Athletes will have 60 seconds to throw five kegs over a bar and into the zones (last keg thrown must be released at or before 60-second mark, meaning a keg can count after 60 seconds if it is flying, landing, or rolling…)If a keg clears the bar, that keg cannot be thrown again. If a keg does not clear the bar, the athlete can use their time to retrieve and throw that keg again.Kegs must be thrown from lightest to heavy. A lighter keg must clear the bar before the athlete can advanced to a heavier keg. Kegs that do not clear the bar earn no pointsTotal points will be calculated by scoring where kegs are at the end of the 60 second time limit.Equipment allowed: soft briefs, chalk, sleeves, grip shirts, wrist wraps, beltsEquipment not allowed: no sticky substances*All weights and events are subject to change at the promotors discretion Strongman Corporation Info: ***Strongman Corporation membership is required for all competitors and can be purchased online at https://strongmancorporation.com/memberships/.
