Join us on November 7th and 8th for the Austin Highland Games! Athlete registration will begin at 9am and we will begin throwing at 10am. Festival gates open at 11am, there is a full festival with live music, food trucks, vendors and of course a beer tent! NOTE: SOME CLASSES MAY HAVE SHIFTED DAYS OR BEEN CONSOLIDATED DUE TO HOSTING THE LIGHTWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CLASS INFORMATION. FIRST TIME THROWERS may register for the Novice class regardless of age/weight. This class will allow you to learn in the moment and be paired with a judge prepared to coach you. Novice class throwers are not required to wear a kilt to their first games. You must have qualifying scores to register for an A class. Pro Class and Lightweight World Championships are by invitation only. Women's Lightweights must weigh in under 155lbs, Men's Lightweights must weigh in under 200lbs. If you are over 40 years of age, register for the appropriate age group. Classes may be consolidated if there are not at least 4 registrants per group. If you qualify for an age/weight group not available, you may throw the weights that align with your age group/weight class. In the event you want your scores entered into a specific class for scoring or worlds purposes, please let Micaela know and it will be taken care of regardless of the group you throw in.
