About

Event 1: Log Press Max by MA Disposal This event is offering the opportunity to earn bragging rights for a STATE RECORD and some cash. This event is sponsored by MA Disposal who is offering $1000 (total pot to be split if there are both a man and woman to complete the challenge) to the best lift over 400lbs for the men and 220lbs for the women. Athletes get 3 attempts (Wessel rules) to lift his or her maximum weight on the log (10” for women and teen divisions, 12” for mens). The starting weight is 93lbs with 5lb jumps for the women and 143lbs with 10lb jumps for the men. Equipment allowed: hard and soft belt, grip shirt, wrist wraps, elbow and knee sleeves, chalk. Event 2: Deadlift Ladder You will have 75 seconds to get as many reps as possible. You will start at a standard 9” deadlift bar and get two reps, proceed to the second power bar wagon wheel deadlift (13”) to get two reps, and then finish off with the third deadlift axle bar with skid steer tires (15”) to get as many reps as possible within the remaining timeframe. Each rep must be controlled down and must restart only once the wheels or weights are completely motionless, meaning no bouncing the weights. Equipment allowed: hard and soft belt, figure 6 or 8 straps, no suits, sleeves or wraps. Event 3: Husafell Medley  This is a three part event. You will have a maximum of 60 seconds to carry the first implement, a husafell sandbag, 50ft. Once you have crossed the line with the sandbag, you must run back and pick up the husafell shield and run it 50ft. Then you will run back and pick up the natural stone and carry it to the finish line. This is 150ft total with no drops allowed. Quickest time wins the race, if it is not completed longest distance will be measured. Equipment allowed: grip shirt, hard and soft belt, knee and elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk, absolutely no tacky. Event 4: Truck Pull You will be harnessed to a truck (lighter trucks for women and teens) with a rope in front of you. The front of the truck will need to cross the finish line at 50ft as you use the rope to pull and gather momentum. Quickest time wins or if no one completes within 60 seconds max distance will be measured. Equipment allowed: elbow and knee sleeves, hard and soft belts, wrist wraps, gloves, chalk. Event 5:  Castle Stones 5 stones starting from the lightest that will be placed on the tallest platform all the way to the heaviest to be placed on the shortest. 60 seconds total with split times for each stone so if two people only got 3 stones, the quickest to get the stone up to the platform would win. Equipment allowed: knee forearm and elbow sleeves, tape on arms, grip shirt, hard and soft belts, tacky.   There will be Strongman Saturdays at Elite from 10-12 to train the events (contact Matt Loughner 8169299706) or Strongman Sundays at Competing 4 Life from 12-2 (contact me for further details). Weigh ins will be held at Elite Total Fitness on Friday between 5-7pm or Saturday between 8-8:30. Rules meeting is at 9:15. Spectators 12 & under are free everyone else is 10$.
