Start Time: 10am Rules Briefing: Before each event Weigh Ins: 8:30-9:15am Event 1 CoC Silver Bullet Hold ,GSI Sanctioned Equipment: set of captain of crush grippers+ bullet strap to be inserted between handles of gripper being squeezed. Weight: A 2.5-kg plate must be attached to the Silver Bullet strap.Setup: You can use two hands to set the gripper and bullet, but the official time starts when only one hand is holding the gripper shut and the referee signals.Positioning: The bullet is inserted between the handles up to the top edge of the clear band (tooling mark). The gripper must be held in a roughly vertical orientation.Illegal Moves: You cannot tilt the hand backward or position the bullet behind the handle to brace it against your palm.Time Stops: Time stops when the silver bullet falls or the referee observes any contact between the pinky finger and the bullet.Attempts: Each athlete will have two attempts. - 60 second time limit. Event 2 Rolling Thunder One Arm Deadlift An authentic current-model Rolling Thunder 2”3/8 handle must be used, it cannot have been modified in any way, and it must be inspected to ensure that it revolves: holding the handle, lift the metal frame and rotate it until it is horizontal (parallel to the ground). Release the metal frame to demonstrate that it rotates back to its original vertical position (pointing toward the ground) under its own weight. The lift starts with the weight in between the lifter’s feet, using a 10”-15" loading pin and carabiner. The lifter grabs the 2”3/8 Rolling Thunder handle in approximately its center and lifts with the handle remaining approximately parallel to the ground.A thumbless grip is NOT permitted.A hook grip, also known as a thumb lock grip, is NOT permitted. The off hand (non-lifting hand) may not make contact with the body during the lift.Any contact between the lifter's hand and the non-revolving portion of the handle disqualifies the lift; and other than incidental contact, the hand or 2”3/8 Rolling Thunder handle must not touch the body before the lift is completed—dragging the hand or handle up the leg is cause for an immediate "No lift."The lifter must fully straighten up (head up, back erect, legs and hips locked out); once standing straight, the lifter must maintain control of the lift before getting a down signal from the referee, and must then return the weight to the ground. Contact must be maintained between the lifter's hand and the handle until the weight is resting on the floor. Ordinary chalk (magnesium carbonate) may be used on the lifter's hand, but nothing else is permitted (tacky, liquid chalk, and wrist wraps, for example, are specifically disallowed). The athlete has 60 seconds to complete the lift once their name is called. The non-lifting hand must be clear of the body. There shall be a chief referee who will have the final decision on the lift 11. Weights will be a rising bar event. Event 3 2.5”COUNTRY CRUSH DEADLIFT RULES 1. An official 2.5” country crush handle must be used. The lift uses an Olympic loading pin not to exceed 15” in height and a carabiner. 2. The lifter grabs the handle and lifts with the handle remaining approximately perpendicular to the ground. A thumbless grip is not permitted. 3. The 2.5” Country Crush Handle must start without touching (clear) of the body. 4. An extremely wide sumo stance to minimize the distance lifted is not permitted. This is the referee’s discretion to decide what is extremely wide. 5. The lifter must fully lock out (head up, back erect, legs and hips locked out). 7. Once standing straight, the lifter must maintain control of the lift before getting a down signal from the chief referee, and must then return the weight to the ground under control. Contact must be maintained between the lifter's hand and the handle until the weight is resting on the floor. The referee then indicates whether the lift was passed or not. 11. The lifter is given 1 minute to complete the lift after his/her name is called; during that minute, there is no limit to how many times the lifter may try to complete the lift. If a lifter fails to complete a lift, the lifter has no further attempts. 12. Ordinary chalk (magnesium carbonate) may be used on the lifter's hand, but nothing else is permitted (liquid chalk, tacky, and wrist wraps, for example, are specifically disallowed). 13. Blocks under the feet may be used by the lifter (if desired or needed to clear the ground). 14. The is a Chief Referee who gives a down command once the lifter has locked out the weight. 2.5”Country Crush MEDLEY SPECIFIC DETAILS-Weights TBD The medley consists of 3 loading pins ,removing the 2.5” Country crush handle and reattaching to each pin will be required .When the referee says “GO”, the athlete will attempt the 1st pin. Max time is set to 240s, but it will increase in increments from the absolute minimum of 120s as certain number of stones are successfully passed, meaning that stronger athletes will get plenty of time in the medley while the weaker may only get 120s. No split times. The stones must be attempted in order, but upon a failed stone, athletes are allowed to skip it and return later if wanted. RULES Locking out the knees is required. The back should be straightened reasonably, but due to the awkward shape of some of the stones, control is more important than full lockout. After the down signal, the stone must be lowered to the floor for the lift to be successful.
