A Very Strongman Christmas 5

We’re bringing you four festive feats of strength on the Majestic stage again! We have way too much fun with this one! If you’re new to our Christmas contests: Yes, these are seriously the events. You don’t have to use your imagination, there’s an actual sleigh. You can find photos and videos of previous Christmas comps on our social media pages, and we’ll post event updates there as well. Facebook: https://bit.ly/3LkD1wN Instagram: https://bit.ly/45ZplRl Events: Reindeer Gainz Viking Press Sure, the reindeer are magic, but they still need a boost to fly. That’s where you come in. You’ll Viking Press those guys as many times as possible in 60 seconds. Handles will be 24” apart, parallel/neutral grip, and you’ll be facing the implement.  Knee wraps, wrist wraps, and belts are fine. Because we are generous and filled with the Christmas spirit, double dips will be allowed. Once you start, you will not be allowed to set the implement down. Sleigh Squat You need to test out Santa’s sleigh, and make sure it’s rooftop-ready! The sleigh will be on a frame behind you. You’ll start in the top position, and do as many reps as possible in 60 seconds. This will just be for reps, no split times taken. Knee sleeves and wraps are fine, no squat suits, groove briefs, spring loaded shoes, or jet packs. Santa’s Sack Chimney Chuck Help Santa get the toys under the tree by throwing 3 sacks up and over the chimney for him. It’ll be similar to previous years’ Marshmallow Toss, but we plan to redesign the bags for easier grip and a one-armed throw. Weights will be updated as needed, once bags are made and tested. Women's bar height will be 10', Men's will be 12'. Ho Ho Hold On It’s a Hercules Hold! But Christmas themed! You need to hold up the stacks of gifts as long as possible. Handles are not knurled, 1-3-/8” thick, non-rotating.  Grab hold and hang on as long as you can.  Chalk is fine. No straps, no tacky, no masking tape on the outsides of your hands Sticky Bandits style, or any other sticky type substances. Nationals: This contest is sanctioned by United States Strongman, and is a qualifier for 2027 Nationals. Weigh-ins: Early weigh-ins will be available Saturday afternoon at the One Way Strength clubhouse in St. Anne. Or, you can weigh-in just before start time at the Majestic (10:00am-11:15). Rules meeting with start at 11:30. Spectator Info: Spectator admission is $15 for everyone 13 years and older. Tables and chairs will be set up, so you’ll have a good view of the stage and room for food and drinks!  A limited number of VIP admissions will also be available for the 2nd and 3rd level balconies for $25. Balcony levels also have tables and chairs, as well as a small area with couches. Spectator tickets will be available online at Eventbrite. (we’ll post a link here closer to the event). Live Stream: Laarni Mulvey of Athlete Ready Sideline Sports will be providing a live stream with commentary. This is great for any friends and family that can’t make it to the event (and for you to watch back later). It will be available free on YouTube to anyone who wants to watch it on our One Way Strength Channel. Food & Drinks: The Majestic bar will be open and serving a wide variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. We’ll update food information when the event is closer. Parking: There are large free public parking lots behind and beside the building with plenty of spaces. Festive Dress: We haven’t done any scientific studies, but we’re fairly certain that dressing Christmas-y adds at least 20% extra power to your lifts.
