One rep at a heavier weight beats any amount of reps at a lighter weight. 60 second time cap. 12-13" logs will be used. No dropping logs from overhead. Equipment allowed: elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, soft belt, hard belt (must be turned backwards if lever belt) Equipment not allowed: grip shirts Deadlift for reps: Every rep is lifted from ground to lockout. Athletes choose their trump weight option. One rep at a heavier weight beats any amount of reps at a lighter weight. 60 second time cap. No suits. Power bar will be used. Athletes will receive and up and down command. Equipment allowed: knee sleeves, soft belt, hard belt, straps Equipment not allowed: briefs, suits Sandbag Load Medley: Four bags are loaded over the yoke. Women load over 44 inches and men load over 48 inches. The lighter bags start further away and the distance gets shorter as the bags get heavier. Distance is 10 meters, 8 meters, 6 meters, 4 meters. A split time is recorded every time a bag is successfully loaded. If an athlete only completes three bags, their result is the time to the third bag. We do not measure distance on a bag that is not loaded. Equipment allowed: knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, soft belt, hard belt Equipment not allowed: grip shirts Farmers Walk Self Load: (with a decision) Athlete will carry the farmers 20m (10+10) at the lighter weight. Athlete will then choose to continue at the lighter weight, or to load heavier weight and continue for another 20m (10+10). Athletes get a time for every 10m covered, drop outside if safe zone and you’re out. Reaching 10m with heavier weight (after first 20 with lighter weight) trumps any time/distance with lighter weight. The self loading is part of the event and part of the 60 second time limit. Equipment allowed: knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, soft belt, hard belt Equipment not allowed: straps Max Distance Carry: Athletes carry a sandbag for maximum distance. WOMEN 70kg / 90kg MEN 110kg / 130kg Athletes have the choice between a lighter and heavier bag. The heavier bag uses a Trump system. An athlete must complete a minimum of: 20(10m+10m) metres with the heavier bag for that performance to trump performances using the lighter bag. Once that 20-metre minimum has been reached, the heavier-bag performance ranks ahead of any distance achieved with the lighter bag. Both bags are left out for the athletes. They choose which bag they want when they are on the floor. If they fail to pick a bag from the ground, they can move down to a lighter bag. Once they actually move with a bag over the start line, there is no going back to another option. Equipment allowed: knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, soft belt, hard belt Equipment not allowed: grip shirts Weigh ins: January 15: 9:30am - 11:00am 4:00-6:00pm January 16: 8:00-8:30am Additional Info: All athletes must have a natural strongman membership All athletes must bring a photo ID for drug testing
